Golden Goose is the name of the best-selling brand in the world, according to a new survey.
The retailer sold nearly half a billion gold-colored name-brand necklace items between September and October, according a report from consumer research firm Gartner.
As of October 2, Golden Goose had sold about 8.3 billion items.
In the United States alone, Golden Duck sold more than 7 billion items during the same period.
“The market for name-branded jewelry is growing, and the Golden Gulls are poised to become a top seller for years to come,” said Jeff Nach, senior vice president at Gartners, in a statement.
Golden Goose was founded in 2003 by singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake.
Its namesake brand is designed to help young people find their place in the modern world.
While the name Golden Goose may seem like a stretch for a jewelry brand, the company does have a history of helping young people become better connected to their world.
In February, the Golden Duck team released a video about the “Golden Age of Identity.”
The video features interviews with students, actors and other celebrities discussing their feelings toward the term “identity,” including how it can help them connect to their inner child.
During a recent segment on the program, Timberlake discussed how the brand helps young people “learn how to be self-reliant, self-motivated, selfless, and free.”
“You are the reason why we all have our identity,” Timberlake said.
He added, “The Golden Guees have been making jewelry since the early ’90s.”
