A woman and her baby golden retrivers were found injured by a hunter after they were abandoned by a home they shared in eastern Montana, authorities said Monday.
The woman, who is not identified in court documents, was found unconscious by the man in a ditch on Sunday around 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Montana Department of Natural Resources.
The baby was taken to a hospital in Helena, where it is being treated for hypothermia and hypothermic shock, the release said.
The woman has not been charged.
